EuroFlow Releases Two New Educational Books

September 17, 2024

The EuroFlow Consortium is proud to announce the publication of two new educational books on the EuroFlow work in Flow Cytometric Diagnostics

Designed to support laboratories in implementing EuroFlow’s standardized approaches, these books give clear insides and guidance in order to make the highest quality of diagnostics available for patients worldwide.

The first book, ‘EuroFlow-based Flow Cytometric Diagnosis and Classification of Acute Leukemias and Mature B- and T-cell Malignancies’offers an in-depth explanation of EuroFlow’s innovative approach to diagnosing and classifying hematological malignancies. It presents years of research and publications and provides detailed insights into acute leukemias, including specific subsets and database usage, and mature B-cell malignancies, featuring expert-independent classification and plasma cell detection. For mature T-cell malignancies, it describes a novel clonality testing strategy based on TRBC1 expression.

The second book, ‘EuroFlow-based Flow Cytometric Diagnostic Screening and Classification of Primary Immunodeficiencies –2nd Version is an updated version of the 2022 EuroFlow book with the same title. It adds a clearer focus on age-related reference databases for absolute counts of more than 70 lymphoid subsets in blood presented in updated tables. Figures with percentile bars of the most important lymphocyte subsets are added to aid in the early diagnosis and classification of primary immunodeficiencies (PID). The publication part of the book is complemented with a EuroFlow manuscript on in-depth blood immune profiling of Good syndrome patients.
